A high-kill shelter?

Totally unnecessary and inexcusable. I called today to a kind woman named Tonya who tries to rescue dogs from the 'high-kill' shelter in Pittsylvania County. Two pups, mixed German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees, had been posted for possible adoption on Facebook by the Franklin County, Va., no-kill shelter. Tonya was very sad and frustrated, and I'm with her: the shelter 'thought' the pups might have parvo virus but would not even let Tonya pay to take them to the vet. They are gone now.  Bless those who try valiantly to save animals past and present.
